Words can not do justice the depth of healing and heart opening I have been blessed with. (May 1, 2019, 10:46 am)Soul Medicine saved my life.
I woke up in a nightmare that I had seen in my mind’s eye for months prior to the event actually coming to fruition in my life. In a matter of 1 week, I lost my marriage, my home, what I thought was my future, my plans, my mind… or so I had chosen to believe.
4 months earlier… my 23 year old sister committed suicide.
I made and appointment with Sylina (Momma Bear) for the same day I had made an appointment to go be tested for PTSD. After years of allowing myself to be mentally, emotionally, verbally and eventually physically abused I had convinced myself I had PTSD and needed other means of “help.”
I remember walking in Momma Bear’s office and telling her I think I have PTSD and she said, “No you don’t, baby. And you’re right where you need to be.” The moment I sat down in her office I knew I was on the right path; the path that I had been searching for my whole life.
Soul Medicine has taught me to dig into the dark crevices of my being. I have found the courage to look my ego in the eye. I have learned who I am again. I have found my imagination again. I have started to heal the fragmented pieces of myself. I have dreams again. My relationship with My Creator is stronger than I have ever imagined. I am finally at peace with feeling like a kid inside of an adult’s body with an ancient soul. I have learned how to create boundaries. I have learned to use my voice. I have learned to love myself, which allows me to better give and receive love from any other being looking back at me.
I have a magical job, a roof over my head, food in my fridge, a tribe that I’m so deeply woven into and the ability to listen to the voice inside of my soul that I had so long before neglected and pushed back into the darkness. By learning to embrace resistance, I have dedicated my life to remaining a humble student of life’s lessons that happen FOR ME, not to me.
(April 30, 2019, 10:26 pm)My first experience with soul medicine was 5 years ago. It has been a long time since I’ve felt at home with a group of people other then my family. The spiritual growth I’ve had with Soul Med. has opened my mind to think and love better as a person. Thank you Soul Med.
(April 30, 2019, 7:19 pm)Soul Medicine and Lodge are life transforming. I have known Sylina and Alisha for many years and sweat lodges have always been healing for me. I began, a year ago, working very closely with them for personal and spiritual growth and healing. I have grown by leaps and bounds and this is becoming evidenced in tangible changes in my life.
(April 30, 2019, 6:25 pm)I am so grateful to have found this healing space. The people were warm and welcoming, and helped me work through both my physical issues and my spiritual growth. In a little over a year I have grown in so many ways. Sylina is a deep and beautiful teacher that guides with love and compassion. Alisha is very knowledgeable about nutriition and herbal supplements. I am so happy to find my happy place at Soul Medicine!
