He takes amazing care of both my 2022 Chevy Silverado and my husband’s 2024 Corvette, treating each vehicle with the same level of attention and pride. No matter how busy he is, Jamie always finds a way to fit me in when something unexpected comes up, and he never rushes the job. Most recently, I brought him a friend’s 2018 Ford Edge that had seen better days—dog hair everywhere, and leather seats worn from kids, pets, and grandkids. Jamie just smiled and said, “This is what we do.” And wow, did he deliver. The car looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor—no trace of dog hair, the leather seats restored to their original tan, and it smelled brand new. “This review is by a St Marys, GA home owner and highlights a few repeated fixes by our Public Works (PW). PW immediately replied and removed a fallen tree partially blocking the sidewalk near the submarine base and responded similarly in another obstruction close by. A third personal request concerned the city “right of way” property directly in front of my home. This concern was more about aesthetics than safety. It was agreed that PW would correct and prep the area for sodding. I would purchase and install the sod. All three responses addressed concerns that were initiated by a “common” citizen, portraits that our PW is among the best. At some point, the sidewalk in front of my home became uneven and created an erosion problem. There is a downward slope leading to the area, which increases the water flow that also contributes to the erosion. The flow appears to be the main culprit in the issue. All of the concerned area is the city right of way. Our responsive PW is communicative; and well organized and managed. As requested, PW corrected and prepped the area for sodding, only for the evening coastal storm to wash all the dirt into the ditch. PW returned, replaced the dirt and re-prepped the area. The sod was then tightly installed by me, but a small hole allowed the water flow underneath and yet again the dirt was washed out. This was frustration on steroids! The replaced dirt and sod were covered with the chicken wire mesh. This appears to be a successful fix. Photographs capture my reporting. A second adjacent “right of way area” was similarly covered with the same mesh. My 21 year old Crape Myrtle tree was removed, and the subsequent toxic nitrogen killing roots and dirt from the stump grinding were also painstakingly removed. The grass covered with the chicken wire mesh appears to also be thriving in this installation area. Our PW shines as a listening and responsive department; and deserves to be recognized as one of the best.”

“Great experience! Phil and Adam were friendly and professional. Our toilet was constantly running water, and we could not figure out why. They assessed the situation, determined it was a water pressure issue instead of just a toilet part, and made the necessary corrections. They also replaced the toilet parts due to the wear & tear and now everything is great! Phil took the time to answer all of my questions, which was helpful as this is the first house I have ever lived in.
