Stopped by this adorable shop. Come pick up local HONEY and ELDERBERRY SYRUP! The ladies here have some delicious HOMEMADE yummies!! From soups, main course meals and desserts. Omg!! I truly struck gold with this treasure find. I grabbed alittle of everything..too many amazing choices!!Thank you so much.
Took me a very long time to try this place, can't believe it took me so long! My wife is on the way there now to buy almost anything on the menu for this week. The concept is quite simple, in lieu of frozen processed food you get fresh homestyle dishes that change every week. Most of the dishes are quite simple but nothing was bad and some things were really good. The highlights of my first trip were the smoked beef brisket with twice baked potatoes and the banana bread. Close on the heels of the brisket was a smothered steak (basically Salisbury steak) in a really delicious gravy. The chicken and rice was a very simple comfort food dish. The lasagna wasn't necessarily for me, but my wife says if we had heated it longer the flavors would have melded better, so we will grab it again next time. I'm not a quiche eater but I bought my wife a whole quiche and she cut it into 8 pieces and froze them individually, she really enjoyed the one she ate before freezing the others.
Also, the meals come in single or double portions, really seems like you are only paying the difference in packing cost as they are a very similar cost per serving.
Assuming this week is as good as last week, pretty sure we will be eating this 4 to 5 nights a week (plus some breakfasts, lunches and snacks) indefinitely.
Maureen Penneman and her staff are amazing! She helped me plan my menu with the funds that I had available, was able to navigate around a couple people’s dietary restrictions, gave great instructions how to serve it, and made fabulous food!
We had a scrumptious stuffed chicken breast that had spinach, cheeses and artichokes with a crispy topping, twice baked potatoes and green beans with caramelized onions, and to die for angel biscuits. Everyone loved the food, the portions were large and we had leftovers.
The twice baked potatoes did not need any additional butter, the beans were seasoned perfectly and the chicken melted in your mouth. She had a wonderful cream marsala sauce to put on the chicken. The only thing I can say that I see is the problem is that I did know about her or used her before now. We will be back for sure!
The easiest dinner party I’ve ever given!
Maureen and Susie were a delight to work with. We had an anniversary trip planned for 4 nights, for 14 people. Our menu was very kid friendly and all the adults loved everything as well. They prepared 7 meals for us. This was a huge time saver for all of us. Our menu consisted of meatloaf, steak, pulled pork, baked rosemary chicken, all very scrumptious. We also had mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, buttery corn, seasoned green beans, squash casserole, twice baked potatoes, baked beans rolls, garlic bread, cornbread. Breakfast was super convenient. We had pull apart French toast, cinnamon rolls, sausage egg casserole, and of course biscuits and gravy. There was plenty of all of us and even had some leftovers for linches.
Thank you to ALL the ladies at Bee's Knees. We had a wonderful trip to the mountains with plenty of appetizing food!!
I bought some of their prepackaged meals and was please with the teriyaki chicken with vegetable and coconut rice. Delicious. Not so pleased with the meatloaf and mac and cheese but they were okay. Will be back for that first one though~
