Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Visitor Center

The terrain is rough but real.
Lots of tree roots, rocks (big and small), and..... the hike up is straight up for 1.1 miles.
Loved it!
Very Beautiful with lush trees and beautiful views.
Was surprised that there were no mosquitoes or any irritating bugs, so that was a huge plus.
Lots of people there exercising.
Nice visitor's center with a museum and gift shop.
Over all, it was a positive experience ✨️

Excellent place for trail running or hiking. It has the highest view of Atlanta. It is worth to wake up early and enjoy the amazing sunrise

Great museum with some nice hiking trails. Thought the battle field log with the cannon balls embedded it it was very cool. Did have enough time to hike too much, but enjoyed what we got to see.

This is the perfect distance for a hike in the middle of the day. The front of the Mountain is roughly 1.5 miles to the top,if you walk on the pavement. If you crave a bit more challenge on your hike try the natural trail. If you crave an even more challenge to your hike go around to the back side of the mountain! It is amazing! I noticed this time around there is even a place to rent electric bikes.( near the over flow parking lot)

Tuesday mid morning. Plenty of parking. Got busier as morning went on. Great hike one end to other is 7.5 miles. In shade most of hike. They have 8 digit grid coordinates on mile markers for safety. Recommend you take a pic as you go by to help 911 get to you in case.
