It really became my first passion not because I loved the skills that I was learning but because of the environment. The instructors have mentored me my entire life and they taught be discipline and maturity at a very young age. They helped me learn that martial arts instructors often get painted as strict or harsh in society but here, they are loving and care more about being mentor rather than to just teach you martial arts. These instructors were my role models and I made it my goal to become like them some day. When I became an assistant instructor I devoted all my time and effort into being the best role model for my students. Here at Choi Kwang Do they made me feel so welcomed and I could not have imagined spending 12+ years anywhere else.”

“Alyse stole the show. Went to Ted's with a first date and honestly the highlights were in this order, my classy and quite attractive date, then Alyse...from there it really didn't matter. From the second she showed up at the table there was a positive and real vibe to the night. Cute as a bug's ear, Alyse gave great advice on apps and food and was simply delightful. Honestly, I don't even remember what I ate. I just remember Alyse making us both feel welcomed and valued.
