We were met by a lovely woman. She welcomed us in and let us explore the home. Filled with different artifacts of the surrounding area donated by many and some original to the home. Quaint and the cost of admission is free (with donations request). I recommend asking to see the garage. The kitchen was also neat!
Enjoyed visiting this museum about Powder Springs History. While there the Director of Museum came and he shared more details of local history. A very fortunate encounter
I've always have loved old historical houses. To stroll through Powder Springs downtown is a great adventure. One of my favorites tour visits are the Seven Springs Museum Historical Houses. Viewing the historic items is educational. Out back they have the old Wagons and Tractors that was used back then. Tyler Perry filming (Saints and Sinners) took place in this area. I think a visit here with family and friends will be a awesome Treat 😊
Sweetly quaint and personable. Unlike a typical museum, the staff let us wonder around up & down the historic home as we pleased exploring every nook & cranny! No plexiglass sterile walls or displays, it was as if we were back in time experiencing the moment. Visit while you can!
So much history in this museum from pictures of Powder Springs from 1800 to real telegraph slips from Southern Railway and clothes from the firefighter to railroad. A Room dedicated to all the history you can imagine. If you want to know about this awesome small town this is the place to go.
