Years back I was a patient of Karisa Harpe and absolutely loved her despite the 50+ miles drive from my house. The drive was 100% worth it. I moved away for a while and when I came back she was not with the practice I’d previously seen her at. I couldn’t remember her last name and couldn’t find her. My therapist identified ADHD tendencies and recommended that I be evaluated and seen for medication. I asked her who she recommended and when she emailed back saying she recommended Karisa Harpe I was overjoyed! Not only does Karisa treat you like a person and not a chart, she’s so welcoming and warm hearted she makes you feel celebrated. She has always listened when I felt a medication wasn’t working for me and has been the most trusted practitioner I’ve gone to for care in the mental health world. She’s knowledgeable and answers my questions on how different medications work and I know I can trust her recommendations.

Love Mrs. Harris. Very conscious of trying to use other methods before medication if at all possible. Helps support you in changing you entire life to support your mental health not just try and medicate and be done with. Awesome listener, first psychiatrist I’ve had where we did almost a mini-therapy session to figure out why I was struggling. Very knowledgeable. Managed to diagnose my adhd when Ive been misdiagnosed with depression for years. She’s so sweet and always willing to answer my questions when I send them in the portal. She makes you feel genuinely loved and cared for. I highly recommend.

I suffered from anxiety and adult ADHD (which I didn’t know initially) Dr. Nunez properly diagnosed my symptoms and got me the medication I needed to slow my mind down enough so that I could do my job successfully.
