Best school for non traditional education and interactive learning for grades 1 - 7th.

Finch Academy has been a fixture in the Lithonia community for 17yrs. I’ve had 2 sets of children to come through Finch, my eldest two are graduating from high school and my younger two are currently enrolled.

This school is the epitome of academic excellence. All of my children are academically ahead of schedule and people are always shocked to find out they came from a small minority-owned homeschool on the south side of Dekalb County.

The owner operates her business in the same community of which she was raised. Families have come from as far as Fayette County, Dunwoody and Southwest Atlanta to enroll their children in this school. If this daycare/homeschool was just a “basic” childcare facility, then there’s no way these parents would continue to endure super long commutes for 10+ years. Not to mention, the school would not still be open and thriving 17 years later.

If you are at all interested in ensuring your Pre-K and school age children get an elite private school education with affordable tuition, long lasting friendships, life skills, multi-cultural exposure and a renewed passion for learning, feel free to stop by the school and ask for a tour. The proof is in the test scores, the college acceptance letters and the mileage on those vehicles traveling to the facility daily.

This is my 2nd year with Finch Academy and I LOVE IT!!!!!, My Daughter started in Ms. Woods Class as a Pre-K 3, I took her out to try Public School GA Pre-K...... I HATED IT! Sadly as a teacher in the public school system, I should have known better. I immediately, called Mrs. Jaffany and Ms. Kira, they accepted my Daughter back and even accepted my two year old son! Both of my children are flourishing in this school! My daughter is reading and my son is excelling greatly. I am confident that my daughter will be more than ready for Kindergarten and my son will continue on the same path as my daughter. I truly appreciate Mrs. Jaffaney, Ms. Kira, Ms. Woods and Ms. Sandy. They truly look after my kids like they are there own and help our family tremendously.

My grandchildren have been attending Finch Academy for several years. I have been actively involved with the school for the last year and a half, and have interfaced with all teaching staff and observed them with the students. Staff treats all students with dignity and respect, and insures the students treat each other likewise. This is a well-rounded learning environment, and I highly recommend Finch Academy.

My child was being bullied in a charter school and had given up on liking school. I transferred him to Finch and in a matter of one school year his grades rebounded, he loves school and he got accepted to the private school of his choice. The teachers are loving and kind and take the education, both academic and social, of their kids very seriously. They push the kids to be their best in all they do. I would highly recommend Finch Academy to anyone that asks and have.
