My child is a Freshman. He loves this school. My husband and I r involved n the Parent and Teachers Conferences. Redan High r Awesome. Again it takes a Village. Like my girlfriend told me GET INVOLVED. If u care about ur child education the teachers will care too.
They r number 1 n my book. Keep up the Good work Raiders.
Even though I didn't have the honor of graduating from this high school, I still have my Raider Pride! 06-08'
I graduated Redan high school in 2004. But I didn't actually graduate from Redan. I was send to an alternative graduate school called Open Campus because I transferred from a Florida high school to a Georgia high school with not having taken, certain required classes, as a requirement to graduated in a Dekalb county school. Redan's customer service and student counseling SUCKS. When I went to school here, there were only a hand full of teachers and counselors whom actually cared for their students, and inside of that hand full, was another group that actually care enough to go the extra distance with their students. I have been trying to get in contact with the front office and or counseling desk for an hour now. Is the phone off the hook? Is everyone on a lunch break at the same time? Do they not supply the front office with teacher aids any more. Is the phone not important enough to answer. It was one particular time that I wanted to donate my time and give back to the school that I "GRADUATED FROM," by participating in setup, or maybe even after school affairs, or drama club. Since no one answered the phone, as I sat there listening to the phone ring over and over again, a friend called to see what I was doing, and my mind about volunteering my time was changed. I figured no one at the school cared enough to pick up the phone, so I would rather donate my time to a place that actually does care enough. now here I am 9 years later, still waiting on someone to pick up the phone, so that I could schedule an appointment to pick up, my transcripts. Lets pray that someone is organized enough that they don't have to look that hard for them. If they are even there. Or should I just skip past Redan and go straight to the county records. I think I will do that instead.
