Dog River Reservoir

Absolutely amazing place and Im so glad my tax dollars goes towards preserving this place, I do wish Douglas County Water would pay someone enough to be there full time BUT none the less great place to relax and fish. Also being reserved for Douglas County residents only is nice keeps people from flooding it

Nice lake. Clean. We grilled out and did some kayaking.

I enjoy the reservoir. I get to go and spend time with my best friend. We just wish people would loosing up with the private property and fish ponds because there's nowhere to go fishing without somebody running you off there property. But the only thing we my friend and I is fish . We don't leave trash behind, and we pick up any trash someone else leaves and take it with us. I'm 62 my friend 30. We don't appreciate those types of people either so it's worth it to pick up behind others so people like my best friend and I can enjoy what few places that are left to fish. ... The reservoir is a awesome spot to enjoy your spare time. So go out to the lake and enjoy your day

Nice calm waters for kayaking, but only for douglas county residents, or with county residents. I don't fish but have heard from many it is good for fishing. No gas motors allowed.

We really enjoy going here. We live just a few minutes down the road and it makes for a nice and rather cheap day. Rent a jon boat with a trolling motor for $15.00 for a half day (6 hours). Pack a lunch and enjoy the day out on the water.
