I have been seeing Dr Lawson as my internal specialist for almost 15 years now, regardless of where I've been living in the Atlanta area (currently live in Smyrna and come down for my quarterly visits). He is personable, compassionate, and trustworthy in his advice and diagnosis. I cannot recommend him and the staff at Starr's Mill Internal Medicine more.
Dr. Lawson is my primary and serves quite well. He responds to questions with attention and acumen. During his absence during a more urgent need, I consulted with Dr. Brachey and was totally satisfied. I am the kind of person who over-Googles my medical condition before I even get in there. Based on all of the above, I am confident I would get good care from Dr. Springston although I have never met her.
Final comment---- I've read the very few bad reviews and they appear to commonly be consistent whiners. I don't go to a doctor for the staff. In fact, I would prefer not to go to the doctor at all, although I like Anthony Lawson. So if the staff is less than perfect, grow up and realize why you do there in the first place. And, if you got bumped for a simple annual office visit, don't be selfish--- just re-schedule.
Dr. Lawson is great!
The office staff doesn’t always return calls quickly, but I’ve also had instances where they go above and beyond to fit you in on short notice. Miranda is absolutely wonderful! She kept me in mind when confirming appointments and scheduled me as soon as there was a cancelation. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to get an appointment until over a week later.
I’ve called a couple of times regarding issues with getting my prescriptions filled at the pharmacy and They’ve always helped me clear things up.
The wait after signing in is shorter than a lot of the doctors offices that I’ve been to, but maybe it just seems that way because of their amazing selection of waiting room reading material.
