Great Bible teaching church. Very welcoming.
My family and I recently moved from Texas to GA and finding a new church to call home is always the hardest in my opinion. We decided to check out Southside and I am glad we did. From the moment we walked in the door, we were all met with kindness. From the pastor, to guest services and the people who take care of our kiddos, every encounter was warm and genuine. To top it all off, this church has a huge heart for community outreach in a big hands-on way. I am grateful to call Southside home. If you are searching for a church, come check it out... they have several locations. =)
We love this church - our kids have Been a part of all of the student environments and we are eternally grateful!
Love this church!! Everyone is welcomed with open arms. I have to take this down to a four star because I believe the messages can be improved and aligned more closely to the word of God. I have yet to hear about hell or eternal consequences, about how tough Christian life truly is, about deception and how demonic influences are real every day. How we are to deny ourselves daily and pick up our cross. So bottom line, great uplifting messages, but to continue growing in faith, I believe there should be more. For instance, offer church like a college, for freshmen and others that want to stay as is, give the services you normally give, but for others who want to grow, offer a different service.
It's an Andy Stanley strategic partner church. The message is broadcast from North Point Church in Alpharetta. They follow the same model with the kids Sunday activities and small groups for adults. We go for the service only. We used to attend North Point where we saw the speakers live, but you easily get used to the big screen here. The music is good and the message is usually good too. The atmosphere is very friendly, but laid back. They pretty much accept you for who you are.
