Just had lunch here with friends, and the food was phenomenal. We tried the spicy jeonju chicken, the rose tteokbokki, the beef mandu, the K-mega fries, the galbi plate (comes with japchae, rice and kimchi) and the very unique and extremely delicious Ma-la chicken. I've never had anything like it. It was amazing. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. This place is a MUST-TRY.
I've been waiting for weeks to try this place cause I've been hearing nothing but good reviews. I went on a Monday around lunch and it was pretty full when I arrived. The inside is nicely decorated and well lit. It's kind of small but can easily sit probably 30 customers. I came for the Korean fried chicken due to the hype. I ordered kimchi fries, Mala fried chicken, and a side of steamed rice. The kimch fries we soooo good. Nice and fresh, the topping were kimchi, thin sliced pork, diced onion Nad parsley. They are cooked to order cause they came out hot. The Mala chicken was good too. Very fragrant with Sichuan peppercorns and a hint of spice. The chicken was fried perfectly and the serving is enough for 3-4 people being that it's a whole chicken. The cashier was sooooo sweet. I forgot to get her name but she was so polite the entire time and checked on all the customers multiple times to make sure we had what we needed. I tip my hat to her great service. I'll be back soon to try the other flavors of chicken. If you live in Alpharetta I suggest you give it a try. They have many other options aside from just chicken.
Went here for lunch after looking up reviews about the place. Ending up getting BBQ Jeyuk and half order of wings. The spicy pork was good along with the glass noodles and rice. Definitely good flavor. I would have liked it spicier, but I usually like more spice heat than most. The wings were also nice and crunchy as I would expect. A side of pickled radish was also a nice kick.
The people inside are really nice. She explained the menu and was very detailed and thoughtful. Definitely going back again as menu has a lot of things to try, but I only have one stomach.
Incredible flavor and spicyness!! Awakens entire mouth to fullness. It's spicy k-chicken at its best. 3/4 of fried chickenl fried to perfection with crunchiness, topped with whatever sweet/spicy flavor and vegetables. The chicken literally dances inside your mouth! I rarely Give 5 stars, but this one deserves it. Definitely returning again.
Kimchi Red is a cute contemporary restaurant. Service is friendly and welcoming. Kimchi Red has the most amazing dishes. Great for family style dining too. I highly recommend the Ma La Chicken if you love crispy chicken with a nice spice level. Of course I wanted to try everything on the mouthwatering menu so no doubt I will be back to sample the rest of the menu.
