Taylor makes learning an instrument approachable and enjoyable. If you have a little one from 5 on up... I think Taylor is the perfect choice for you. This mommy is hard to please, so the fact that I'm writing a review says a lot about how much I truly like this teacher! Good luck and happy playing!
Working with her has been an absolute game changer.I thoroughly recommend that new students do the 2 hr intro class. It gets you up to speed, QUICKLY. Forbsey is a true mentor and cheerleader and has created a safe, nurturing space where I feel comfortable taking risks. Lessons are fun and there's not a question she doesn't have a good answer for.
I bought a different ukulele for each of my granddaughters who live on the west coast. The ukuleles were shipped and arrived in a timely manner, tuned, and ready to enjoy. I was at their house when they opened them and was pleased with the packing. They both sound great and I look forward to them learning. I received kindness and professionalism during the purchase. No pressure, just good information and patience.
I haven't played piano since I was a child and I was looking to refresh my skills. I'm so happy to have found Bobby Apperson. I get really shy playing in front of people and he put me at ease with his patient demeanor. He taught me techniques I've never learned from instructors before and helped me a lot with music theory.
Taylor is fantastic. He's exactly what you should hope to get in a music instructor for your child. Or, for yourself. And, as a guitarist myself, I can confirm that his technique is right on. He and I actually share a guitar instructor in common (Paul Hanson), and I can attest that he teaches his students my favorite version of the instrument. It's versatile, effective, and clean.
