Awsome sermons
In 1965-67, I sang in the choir of Baptist Church No. 1, Timisoara. I was the youngest bass player, Craioveanu was one of the conductors of the Impressive Choir, for which I wrote the notes for many songs right at his home. Brother Pitt Popovici was seen publicly and privately as an extraordinary Christian Baptist pastor--as a treasure of Christianity in Romania! Even the Orthodox priest from Timisoara was impressed by the power of God expressed in the sermons of Brother Pitt Popovici. I was privileged to know a lot about this extraordinary Pastor! One of my uncles was Prof. Eng. Dr. Bogoevici Nicolae at the Polytechnic, and many of his students knew me personally and came to the sermons of this famous pastor Pitt Popovic! The entire surface of the Choir from the balcony was like sardines crammed with students who came to listen to the well-documented sermons of this extraordinary Pastor Pitt Popovici! The church was overcrowded with people, many of whom were taking notes when Bro. preached. Pitt Popovich. Not to mention, there was not a person in the Christian cults in Romania who did not listen to this extraordinary Bro. Pitt Popovich. In California, around 1976, my wife and I visited him at his home (and he visited us). As usual, he was very passionate about writing from the Bible and you could see his many books. Later, I also bought over a thousand books written about the Bible. In Romania, during that period of persecution of the Protestant churches, Bro. Pitt Popovici preaches with great power on Radio Europa Libera and others. The Christians in Romania listened to him, even those from the villages and communes! It was something extraordinary to listen to this sophisticated and famous Christian Pastor on the Radio. He took the time to write me several letters in Romania. He had such a great sense of Christianity! In California, he formed a large Baptist Choir, which was preceded by the sermon of Bro. Pitt Popovich. Just like in Timisoara, many Romanians (like me) came to listen to this famous Baptist Pastor, Pitt Popovici. It was a dreamlike atmosphere, as if it was brought from paradise! This legendary Pastor, Pitt Popovici, will remain in the minds of Romanian Christians an apostle of magnitude who was not shy to preach the Gospel of Christ with great power and courage, for years over the barricades of communist censorship in Eastern Europe!
