Food was good and watching planes take off and land was very fun. Patio if you prefer to sit outside. Rated a four because their score was only an 82, in my opinion it should never be below 95.
It's a great little Restaurant in Lawrenceville. I got the Philly Cheesteak and it was really great. Service is a bit slow but really helpful. Mr. Hokey Sloan did some great Music. Try this Place if you like
I had a great experience at the flying machine restaurant with my family. They have great food and a friendly staff. I definitely plan to eat there again and I recommend it to anyone.
A well intentioned restaurant that could be great but is in dire need of some work. Service is very kind, perhaps a little slow. Food is what you'd expect at this price point from a diner. I had the burger, I'd get it again. Someone else in our party got the turkey sandwich, it was quite dry. The restaurant is in major need of a facelift on the inside and out. The theme is appropriate for the type of restaurant - very airplane centric with the decorations - but half of the models are broken, the carpet is old, the lighting is poor, the tables wobble. Outdoor seating is in need of a good power washing. The tabletops are smooth but the edges are rough concrete, making them uncomfortable to lean on.
I'd come back only because it's a good spot for a relatively quick bite and you can watch the airport traffic. If it wasn't on the airport, I probably wouldn't visit again.
If you haven't treated yourself to this place, you are really missing something. The airplanes take off and land right by the restaurant. You can sit inside or outside, both offer a magnificent show. I believe they have live music Friday and Saturday nights, a Willie and Waylon Tribute Duo. Be sure and take care of your servers, Joy was very kind to us, as were the others. Food was good too. I got the Mechanics Burger, covered in chili and cheese, definitely needed to a toolbox to tackle that one, my friend got fried seafood, shrimp and clams I believe. They have sandwiches, salads, burgers, as well as some plates. Trying new places, spring or local businesses as we all get used to this new normal. Won't You Join Me?
