Collision Claims

I’ve been a client of Richard’s twice, 12 years apart for the same collectible vehicle. His resulting work products were accurate and well cited, and I will use him again when I have a similar need.

When I hired Collision Claim Associates my only expectation was to receive a vehicle appraisal. I was pleasantly surprised to not only receive a very thorough appraisal but also extremely detailed information on how to effectively communicate with the at fault party's insurance company. They have even provided assistance and guidance with every communication to and from the insurance company. The value obtained from a small appraisal price is well worth it.

This was my first accident after 50 plus years of driving. I was stopped in traffic and rear ended in my 2018 Silverado. After the body work was completed I provided the at fault driver's insurance company a letter from the General Sales Manager, of the Chevrolet dealership where the body work was done, stating my vehicle had a diminished value of $3000.00. The insurance company did not want to discuss anything about diminished value, stating my vehicle was repaired to factory standards. Thank God I contacted Collision Claim Associates. It took about a week to receive the appraisal report. The report stated my vehicle had a diminished value of $4200.00. I sent this report to the other driver's insurance company and within a week I received a telephone call from the claims adjuster stating they were sending me a check for $4550.00. The Good: As their website states, they will provide a detailed analysis of the diminished value you may claim as the result of a negligent driver. They also provide support during the process, working with you on your response, providing examples, and guidance. Rosemary was especially helpful in this part of the process. In the end it took about a year but I got 65% of the initial claim ($5,400) I submitted, which when you add in the time, costs, and dealing with the insurance company - I'll take it!!! Many thanks to Collision Claim for their assistance.
The Bad: This isn't related to Collision Claim, just know going into this its an uphill process from the start. Insurance will not want to pay your for supposed lose of value, attorneys will not bother with you unless personal injury is involved, and in the end you may have to go to court, which is what I *almost* had to do. They settled literally the day before court so you may have to go all the way.
Overall - I got a large enough chunk back to make it worth my time to do this. If your car is relatively new and in great shape like mine was it maybe worth your time. Just be prepared to do "the dance".
