  The first time I came here was about a month ago. I thought the curry chicken was delicious. It came with beans and rice, sweet plantains and cabbage. Before I paid for my small plate, I ordered a large portion of curry chicken which is about a $1. more than the small plate. After I paid, I was asked if I wanted a receipt. I did. When I looked at it, I noticed I was charged for 2 large plates. I didnt say a word, ate my food and left. Today we went back and ordered 2 large curry chicken plates and 2 drinks. When the food was ready, the bill was about $50+. I asked what we were being charged for and was told 2 oxtail plates. We didnt order oxtails. The woman apologized and corrected the ticket. We paid and sat down to eat. There were no plantains on either plate. When we questioned this, the woman said "you want plantains? I'll make them for you right now and bring them to the table. We didnt have any ready when you ordered." So why didnt she say that when we ordered? Had we not sat there to eat, we would have paid for a full plate and not gotten everything. Both experiences at the restaurant were a bit shady. Again the food was great. Was I being hussled? Maybe I wasnt. Maybe they were just busy and understaffed like every other business since covid. If there is a next time, I'll pay more attention when I order. Check my receipt and the plate before I leave!

  First experience ordering at Island Paradise and it was great. We enjoyed their curry chicken so much, the flavor was on point and the sodium level low which was a plus considering we are health conscious individuals. We will certainly order again.

  Goat curry roti was really good. The meat was tender, good spice on it. Only thing is need more chickpeas. But I will be back.
