(November 13, 2022, 5:05 pm)I've been eating at Southern Pit for 30 years, and the food is consistently delicious! My go to is the small pork plate, but hubby gets the ribs and shares a couple with me. Perfection!
(August 19, 2022, 4:37 pm)Hands down the best BBQ place I've ever been to! It was soo delicious! I had sweet tea, 1/2 chicken, Brunswick stew, Mac 'n Cheese (which is made from scratch, and so creamy!), the pork pit fries, the peach cobbler and my mom had a baked potato, stew, and coleslaw (I tried it, and I don't usually like coleslaw, but it was delicious!) Their BBQ sauce is amazing too! It isn't overly sweet, but it's tangy. Also, my server was Colleen, and she was an absolute sweetheart, so definitely ask for her when you go! I live an hour away, but I will be back again, because it's totally worth it!

(May 19, 2022, 10:09 pm)We happened upon this restaurant last year while headed to a vacation destination and so glad we did. Great Bar-B-Que! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and has the coolest collection of vintage signs and items on the walls. A favorite for me was the toy train that runs along the track around the entire restaurant. We made it a point to stop by again this year because it was so good.
(October 29, 2021, 7:02 am)We love the cozy feel here. The decor is great and the train running around the wall is a nice touch. Our waitress was amazing, in fact, everyone here was very friendly.
Now the food. Being a tennessee boy, I love a good smokey BBQ, but this was still very, very good. Their signature sauce was excellent and the food portions were generous. I had the pork plate- I recommend the BBQ baked beans. My wife had the small ribs plate and daughter had the pork and beef plate. Both raved on how good it was.
We liked everything about it. We will definable be back to enjoy the fun atmosphere and good food.
One last thing, the desert menu looked awesome, but we were in a rush and couldn't stay. I'm really looking forward to getting the cobbler next time!
