Calvary Baptist Church

We did not visit inside. We just stopped in the parking lot to check something on our car. We go somewhere else. Looks like a sweet place to go though.

Full of warm, sweet caring members who make you feel right at home. Pastor Les' service is always beautiful and full of love and the Word.

I love our church. My husband and I had been searching for a church for years before we visited Calvary Baptist Church. To be honest I had about given up on finding a church where the members were actually welcoming to strangers. We always felt like we were intruding in an established circle that wasn't interested in welcoming new converts. On our very first visit we quickly learned that Calvary is definitely the most warm and loving church we had ever been in and that is even comparing it to the church I grew up in in Missouri. It is a small church and as a visitor you can't be missed even if you WANTED to be missed. We have hand shake time during the opening of our church service and if you visit us you MUST be prepared to be greeted by every member of the church. In fact last Sunday is a prime example. We had a new couple visit our church and they sat in the pew right in front of me and my family. When the handshake chorus started so did the line. At one point there was 5 people waiting one behind the other, clogging the isle to greet them and thank them for visiting!!! When you visit once you will feel like you are home! The doctrine is solid and sound straight from the Bible and Pastor Powell delivers sermons that are easy for each person to understand whether you are a season Christian or are hearing the Word for the first time.
