Pats is such un underrated place, a true hidden gem. Quiet, with a great beach. All I need
It is a learning curve when you get there. Make sure you have a good line of communication with your host to your condo. Mainly for finding what box is yours for your key fobs. Fobs are mainly important for elevator access. Swipe it to get in and to go up to your floor. I was very skeptical by its appearance at first but when we got to our rental…wow super nice inside. I was on the forth floor right off the elevator but I couldn’t hear the elevator much but the road noise is definitely there but I personally don’t mind it. The views are great over the ocean and the swimming is great too. I didn’t use the pool but with the warm ocean right there, I didn’t feel like I needed to. Just be ready to drive a lot if you have things planned to do in Honolulu. It’s about 40 minutes to Waikiki depending on the time of day. Even though it’s a drive there and back the views never get old. I took a different way back to the side of the island almost every day and wow those mountains don’t disappoint. Aside from that, give this place a chance. I would stay here again for sure! The only way it’ll get better is by more people staying there. I’m not a good enough surfer but if your good and want a challenge, north shore is very close by. Thank you pat’s for the memories.
Overall, this is a pretty good value and you cannot beat the location. Right on the beach within minutes of the North Shore. It has some wear and tear on the exterior and and they are doing some construction. The condo we had was very nice and clean. I saw a few reviews of people feeling it was not safe but we felt completely safe. The little construction they had unfortunately blocked part of our view. The only other thing wrong (and the reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was there was a loud sucking sound from the pool every 30 seconds or so. We spoke to management and I saw someone working on it but it never was repaired and so we ended up closing the patio door to escape the sound which was rough since having open windows is the best way to cool the condo down. I am sure it will be fixed soon though.
Loved this place for our stay. Locals are just so nice, no crowds, wake up to ocean sounds.
They have a grill, which we took full advantage of. Property manager was so prompt to help us too when we requested assistance. Parking isn’t much of but we had no issues parking at all times of the day. Construction is not a problem, this place was well worth the price.
Location, location, location!!! Right on the beach. No crowds. Cool breeze, quiet. Some construction going on, but didn’t really affect our stay. Close to some great local eats! Aloha Shrimp is a must!!
