“Mikayla is the kind if employee any manager would be so pleased to have on their team. So friendly & extremely helpful for what I was looking for. The other two employees were so unfriendly, no smiles & one I approached was acting like I was bothering her from straightening the racks. And the other one I passed looked like she shouldn’t be working in Customer service! Actually both of the two other associate’s except your wonderful Mikayla, she’s awesome! The other two should take lessons from Mikayla!”

“I haven't stopped at this Starbucks in a very long time but wanted my iced coffee to take on my way up the valley. I mobile ordered and parked. When I entered the store there was no line, just 3 people waiting on drinks so my wait was short. Team that was working was very courteous and polite. The inside area was clean and tidy.”

“As many jobs in Hawaii require a 2 Step TB clearance and I am currently seeking employment, I went to the Lanakila Health Center for a 2 Step TB test. I first went to their website which was clear and informative. The website also has a form that you can download and fill out prior to your visit. I also called ahead of time to confirm that the information regarding testing days and times was current. The staff who took my call was friendly and informed me of a change in testing days because of Veteran's Day falling in the middle of the week. I arrived at 8 AM the next available testing day and the staff was fast and very friendly. There was a real spirit of Aloha. Testing instructions were given to me in written form as well as verbally. There is plenty of parking and clear instructions posted around the center with regard to where the TB Testing section is located, on the ground/lower level and on the Makai side of the building. Lanakila Health Center is a great location for TB testing. Friendly staff, fast service if you go early in the morning and plenty of parking.”

“A great small public park in the upper Liliha area where children can use a fairly new jungle gym. The city custodians do a great job of keeping the park and the restrooms clean and tidy. Unfortunately this also invites vagrants to loiter nearby. It would be a great idea if the City police could do their job in keeping the homeless off the street and into shelters, the park would be much safer and more enjoyable for the community.”

“This is one of a few indoor basketball courts I've been to. Limited hours, but they need a supervisor there at all times. Amenities include: bathrooms, a COLD water fountain (!!), additional meeting rooms which I see being using by a church(?) or just some well-dressed group on Sundays, vending machines, bleachers, and they have extended hours for basketball league play. The courts are odd because you use them sideways, so 4 hoops are available. Bathrooms are pretty dirty. Overall, it's free, so great value, and a great facility for the neighborhood. Parking: the lot outside is limited, especially when there is a baseball game being played, but you can street park along Lanakila Avenue, and also up on North Kuakini St.”

“Absolutely love this place! I have gotten my eyebrows done with the ombré powder that Celine did for me. It didn’t even hurt at all! And it only took about a week to heal! I LOVE the results. I don’t even need to put any makeup on because my brows look filled in perfectly as if I did them my own. It has boosted my confidence so much as well. Did I forget to mention that Celine also does an amazing job with lash extensions? She makes them look so fluffy and full, which I love! I will definitely be back to try more of the services they have there. I recommend this place to everyone!”
