His style is understated where he demands the flavors of the food speak for themselves and enhanced only to bring out regional nuances where the food came from. We had scallops from Maine, caviar from Russia (or Western Alaska), and beef from Japan... all he prepared so carefully with love as if he's preparing it for his mother's last meal on her last birthday as she floats into eternity. He could cook for titans of the culinary industry or for Presidents.”

High tea is offered in four variants from $35 - $80pp or a la carte. There is a good selection of teas and the tea sandwiches and petit fours are delicious...my only quibble is with the scones...they're not the same as I remember from past visits...a little too dry and crumbly for my taste. Still, it's an oasis outside of Waikiki, yet still convenient from most anywhere.”
