Hey! Of all you who are scared that you have a mental health hospital closest to where you live!. But in early 2000 Las Vegas Nevada had built they're first mental healthcare hospital. Las Vegas had mental health problems before with the homeless and the public!. It's all over Las Vegas but more of them are in downtown and the strip Hotels!
The care of patients remains consistently high DESPITE the fact that the legislature refuses to increase funding for more staff, better infrastructure, emergency beepers with GPS, and better paid staff. Attempting to care for very ill patients IN ADDITION to caring for violent patients is a strain. Most states have separate facilities for violent patients who have committed murder and rape. BTW only 3% of mentally ill patients ever commit violence. The recent escape of the patient was a blip and the patient was returned from California without incidence. Let’s not base an assessment on one escape. Instead help by asking the Hawai’i state legislature for more money to help this place.
The hospital is alot safer for the kaneohe community and also for families that live close by to the hospital
