Pu'u Manamana Hike

Address: Koolauloa, Kaneohe, HI 96744, USA

Park

“People have fallen and died on this hike. It is challenging and very dangerous therefore only experienced hikers should attempt. The trail starts at the same spot as the crouching lion hike but instead of heading towards the crouching lion, continue heading up. Going up is very steep. The path along the ridge drops off to either side and is not for the faint of heart. At the top of the ridge the path becomes very muddy and remains so as you begin your decent. The trail eventually takes you into an old Mormon cemetery and out on to Trout Farm Road.”

Funeral home Cemetery Park

“This well-manicured memorial park is breathtaking! It’s worth the extra time and energy to drive around and take in the different views/perspectives of the various memorials. The Buddhist temple in the back is beautiful! Get out of the car, walk around the grounds, meditate, ring the bell, feed the koi fish and birds and watch the graceful black swan mesmerize guests. Truly. You won’t regret it; it’s good for the soul.”

It has rest rooms and a few benches as well as lots of shade trees to lie under if the mood strikes you. It's on a bit of a point so you have great views of the bay and it usually catches some wind so it's nice and cool.”

“The best place to go for inner growth and reflection on one's past. This is a place to be educated on the various plants, bird's indigenous and invasive species that have made a home here on our island of Oahu! A beautiful place to share special moments and to test one's abilities or hobbies. A most green and relaxing adventure for anyone at any age, a natural and very generous place with sights not to be missed but taken in with all the fibers of your very being. Go there and you will not be disappointed but rather invigorated by it's captivating views and cool breezes bring the past into the present and sharing a rare world hidden in nature!?”
