We stopped here on a whim while exploring Idaho since we just moved here. The staff was fantastic, super attentive and very polite and helpful. My husband and I both ordered burgers. The flavor of the burgers was great and they were cooked well super juicy. I got the potato soup which was the soup of the day and it was delicious. My husband had onion rings and they were really good as well. The portion sizes were large and i6 ended up taking food home. I also got a piece of pumpkin cheesecake to go and that was amazing. We love about an hour away but will definitely visit again next time we're in Idaho City.
We have been going to Trudy's Kitchen for years. We especially love it in the fall, the drive from Boise with all the beautiful changing colors is spectacular. The food is great, the fingersteaks, Reuben and Wildcat Burger are some of our favorites. Everything is freshly made from scratch. Save room for a piece of homemade, "mile-high" pie, any flavor, or my favorite, huckleberry cheesecake. (I usually have to bring it home to eat later.) Winter is also beautiful with the creek flowing and fresh snow everywhere. Anytime is a great time for Trudy's Kitchen.
Must stop! Food was incredible. Dinner rolls were the best I’ve ever had. The chocolate cake was our favorite. Huge portions and great, flavorful entrees (pork and chicken). Trudy and the service were fantastic. Definitely worth the trip.
We ate here both days for breakfast while in town. The food was amazing!!! Portion sizes were large. Biscuits and gravy were so good (super light and fluffy). Excellent breakfast burrito, corned beef hash and steak and eggs. No disappointment at all. Staff were super friendly and attentive even while being under staffed. They kept smiling and being positive. Highly recommend coming here.
My wife and I loved eating at Trudy's on our weekend getaway. The environment was comfortable, the service friendly, and the food was delicious.
We went for breakfast. The bowl of gold was phenomenal.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover they had gluten free options as well. Including the BEST gluten free huckleberry cheesecake. So glad we ate here.
