Mountain Home Municipal Airport

This is a great little airfield. It has nice facilities and Tom (the manager) seems to be a great guy from our limited interaction.

This isn't a review of the airport itself, but about Tom Hoegg from Altitude Aviation which is based at Mountain Home.
We were on a cross country flight and landed at Gooding ID for fuel. After fueling I went to start the plane and the starter motor didn't cooperate. Of course the local mechanic had just started his week off so there was no mechanic at the field. The FBO at Gooding called Tom over at Mountain Home to see if he could install it. Once the motor delivered Tom, on his day off, flew over early to install the new starter motor. Hes a pro and did a beautiful install job on the ramp. Its not easy doing a repair away from your tool box and he was well equipped. Hats off to you Tom and thanks for getting us on our way.

Beautiful airport, great self fueling services and the courtesy car was great for grabbing a bite to eat after a long day of flying. Highly recommend landing here if you can

I love this place!!! Cheap fuel, great runway, never very busy, super helpful FBO. I will stop by here everytime I'm in the area! You can very Overnight camp!! Cletis runs the place and is super helpful. Tell your friends!!!!!
