It appears that a group of people 10 months ago decided to really damage this building on Google. I cannot speak to what ever their concern is- but I have been in this building several times over the past year, and it is extremely clean and well maintained. The new leadership is very engaged and involved, and they have improved the quality of care and over all feeling of the building. The residents there are clean and well cared for, and the small close feeling of the building is something that is not common for many nursing homes. I recommend.
My name is Carol Bopp. My father Dan Belknap was a resident here. I was very impressed with this facility. It was charming, like a country home. I want to give a shout out to the housekeeping. It always smells so good. The staff was wonderful, in taking care of my Dad. The social worker Sharon, was beyond helpful in helping me deal with a hard time. The nursing staff is so caring about the patients. And the residents are very welcoming. The food was wonderful too. I would recommend this place highly. Also, I want to thank Linda, she was so great with my dad. It's a tough job these people do. And they do a great job! I trusted them with my father.
I was a resident of Cherry Ridge for 6 months. Todd Russell, facility director, and staff were absolutely awesome. I'm a stage 4 rectal cancer patient with colostomy. Numerous times they went above and beyond what was required to make sure my needs were met and that I was comfortable. When I had my colostomy surgery, the nurses were extremely knowledgable and helped me adjust to being an ostomate by answering questions and assisting with my bag change. I can't tell you what a relief that was to know I had help at that stage of my life. I even got to play Santa Clause at the residents Christmas party. How awesome is that. If you're looking for an assisted living/nursing home facility for your loved ones, be assured, you will be as impressed as I was. Being somewhat ambulatory, I was around the other residents quite frequently. I can't tell you how often I saw staff put aside their busy workday just to take time and listen to problems, or just have a friendly conversation with other residents. Can you understand how much that brightens their day!! I moved to Arizona to spend the time I had left with my brother, and I still talk to Todd and other members of the staff quite often. I consider them to be good friends.
