“This is THE BEST location in Chicago for all nature lovers. This park is a bit far from downtown (around 13km) but is very well worth it. I was biking through lakeview trail with a Divvy bike and passed by this park. Only inconvenience is that you cannot take the bike in the park and there are no Divvy stations outside of it. However, there is a bike station for normal bikes to park but you need to have a lock. The location is very calm and relaxing. The park’s blend with the lake is superb. It’s design is far better than all parks in Chicago. It is a Japanese park. Once you step in all your worries are gone. I highly recommend this park. However one note: there are no sitting areas which makes it a bit annoying.”

“I was there for the Chicago Food Depository Annual hunger walk. However, I do go there offten! In general, it is a great park!! It is easy to get to, but finding parking can be difficult and expensive in some areas in and near the park. The park is being well use by nearby residents and visitors! Only draw back is with the recent addition of "free" ranging geese, in Chicago's lake parks, you must be careful of where you choose your picnic areas!!! There droppings, are a nuance!!!”

“Didn't get to explore most of what Jackson Park had to offer, which looked very impressive, but I did manage to make it to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was similar to what is now called the Fleet Science Center here in San Diego in that it's not simply a series of exhibits to look at, but is also pretty hands on. It's an experiential museum where you can play with all sorts of fun yet educational exhibits to really get you into learning some of what we know about, for example, plate tectonics and lightening. Bring the kids and expect to be a kid yourself with all the awe you had when you were learning about the world around you via play and some good narration with it.”

“Great dog park! My two girls love it here and it's really big so plenty of space to run around and play. Parking is really close too.”
