I left the event impressed by the amount of knowledge the speaker had and how helpful the staff was to answer all my questions. I now feel more educated and empowered about the regulations in Illinois and starting my own home grow as a medical patient. HIGHLY recommended!”

“I just got two engagement rings from Simply Wood and they really came through for us. They let us make a sizing appointment on Memorial Day even though they were closed because that was when we were in the city, and walked us through all the choices. I thought I had all summer to propose so didn't rush the order. It turned out I needed to go on a work trip for the second half of the summer and they worked with me to get the rings to me to propose in time, eventually overnighting them! The proposal went off without a hitch and the rings are just what we wanted, thanks to the customer service folks taking the time with us. We're now planning what we want the wedding rings to be, and definitely working with Simply Wood!”

“I had been wanting to come here for a long, long time. It was so worth the wait. The tickets were reasonable for the amount of fun we had. The place is amazingly immersive. So beautiful. I suppose it's a little bit like a kid's world in downtown Chicago. The staff were incredibly polite, and the place was clean and accessible. We loved every minute.”

“My girlfriend and I found this place as we happened to be in the city and did a local search for Italian food, and are we glad we did! Walked in around 7 on a Friday night (no reservation), no tables open but one of the servers greeted us right away and invited us over to the bar to have a drink while we waited. Very friendly bartender made us some drinks and maybe 5 minutes later we were seated. They had two tables that had become ready and they gave us our choice of which one we wanted. Once seated the server was attentive and warm. The food was fantastic, sizable, and everything tasted fresh. The owner came over several times to check on us and even walked us out as we were leaving. You could really tell he loves his restaurant and genuinely appreciates his patrons. This is the kind of old-school, personal touch that so many restaurants are missing these days. Lots of trendy restaurants are popping up all over, thinking that a flashy sign and decor will keep them in business but no, caring about your patrons and taking pride in your food and service is what will keep you in business. This place gets that, and makes sure everyone leaves feeling like family (and full of great food). Highly recommend checking this place out!”

“This location , created by Ralph and William Steinbarth, formerly of Adelita foods, was named and designed in memorial to the original , historic South Water Market located between Morgan st. and Racine at 14th st. and 14th place here in Chicago. The old Market was home to 56 unique food and beverage wholesalers , supplying for decades the greater Midwest region with fresh produce , groceries, bulk grains , meats seafood, Some notable brands were produced right there including best kosher sara lee. Employing over 10,000 people collectively. The owners and families were forced by mayor Richard Daly in 2004/5 for only 18,000 dollars per unit. Not a drop in the bucket compared to the replacement and re- location costs. The building were to become a gift to richard daly's developer parntners and be stripped and redressed to become University Village and sold on average per unit of 2.1 million dollars, 18,000 thousand into 2.1 x 158 units, forcing owners to sell or face eminent domain. So the Steinbarth brothers created a monument that serves as a working replica of the original market and is home to business's that would have otherwise disappeared , only 6 business's are in this new south water market, that's the capacity.”
