“I’ve used this Aamco to service two cars that I own. They do great work and are very professional. They tend to keep the vehicle a lot longer then I expect/prefer but they always do a nice job.”

“Always love my experience here. The staff is professional, friendly and honest about what needs to be done with my car. I've never had issues with work done either. The waiting area is also cool with snacks, refreshments, tv, magazines, and even massage chairs! Most importantly though its super clean, which hasn't been my experience with shops in the past. Definitely a reliable place to check out for your car needs.”

“I do not trust ANYONE to work on my car. I am not a master mechanic but with enough time on my hands, there isn't anything I can't fix and do it right. Since I've first owned a car, there is only 2 occasions I let someone else work on my car. The first time was when my girlfriends dad (who IS a master mechanic) told me she couldn't ride in my car until HE did the work it needed. The second time was on a stretch of 49 straight days of work, I didn't have time. I needed a pulley replaced that was squealing and I didn't know how to do it off hand. It was on a car with a small amount of space to work, that required you reaching from underneath and having a wrench on both sides of the pulley. I don't have a lift, and I didn't have time. I took it here, fired it up and within seconds he could tell me what was broken, why it was broken, and how to fix it. I don't drive typical cars. I drive very old and uncommon cars, ones that not everyone no matter how long they've worked on cars have worked on. The following morning, he called me back with a price for the part, and a price for the work. I gave him the go ahead and it was done the day the part showed up. Now, that might not seem like a big deal, but it was done right, done well, and done fast. The price was fair, and the work was quality. I have to take my next car somewhere as I'm again short on time, and I plan to take it here.”

“Sometimes super heros don't wear capes... I want to recognize the awesome and extremely kind owners of Don Herman's Quality Service in Chicago, because without them, we would not have made it to our recent horse show destination from Wisconsin to Ohio! One of my worst nightmares has always been that I will have a vehicle breakdown in Chicago while pulling a horse trailer. We'll, IT HAPPENED! While in the middle of 6 lane traffic the brake caliper on the front passenger side of my van locked up. There was (obviously) nowhere to go right away as we were in some serious traffic with construction. By the time we could exit, the thing was smoking beyond belief and the interior of the van was HOT! We quickly looked at garages near us and reached JP at this garage. He was closing for the day but said that he would wait for us as we were traveling and he wanted to help. We did not, at this point, tell him that we had a trailer and a pony along. We limped our smoking vehicle to the garage where he and his Dad met us with a smile and reassuring nature. These men were wonderful! Once the van wheel cooled enough for him to get it apart and determine the problem, he quickly located a part and then spent the next hour chatting with us as if we were old friends, swapping stories, talking about movies and travel and generally putting us (mostly me) at ease. He met my po y, Phantom, and numerous times asked if we needed anything for him. After the repair was finished they gave us directions to get quickly and safely back to the highway. Like I said, sometimes super heros don't wear capes, sometimes they where t- shirts, have the tools and connections to fix a problem, and possess the biggest, kindest hearts and willingness to help complete strangers. My faith that there are still GOOD people out there has been restored. Not only will I forever be grateful, but I also will be willing and anxious to "pay it forward". I challenge everyone to consider doing the same!”
