“I have many a fond memory of playing in this very park as a child. (Rest assured, the playground equipment has been updated since the late 90's/ early 00's. It's probably much safer now.) The playground is spacious and has lots of stations for kids to explore. There is also a nice grassy field separating the baseball diamond from the playground, which is perfect for flying kites, launching Nerf rockets, or learning how to ride a bike without training wheels. One excellent feature of the park is that with the three gates shut, the park becomes an enclosed area perfect for letting dogs get a bit of off-leash exercise. The local dog owners are exceptionally good about picking up after their pets. Bonus: some days you can smell the bakery across the street making cinnamon bread. The one major drawback to the park is the lack of proper drainage in the grassy areas and baseball diamond. Water has nowhere to go and the whole place turns into one giant mud puddle after a day of rain or snowmelt. Save your visit for a dry day unless you want to lose your boots to the mire of silty mud out on the diamond (not to mention cleaning that muck out of your dog's fur). Also there are no bathrooms or rain shelters, but it's a small local park so neither of those are a big deal.”
