When I need guidance on what products will work well for our events, how to keep to the best price points, or how to determine timing, Mark and team are always able to help. The turnaround time is fantastic from concept to production - so fast that they can meet even the tightest deadline (and are so good problem solving how to do this). Our school has worked with other vendors and we have not found better pricing either, which is saying a lot because you do not have to forego amazing customer service to get a fair and honest quote. There is a reason we have worked with them for years and will continue to do so...they let us know if there's something they can't do (which is rare) but bend over backwards if it's humanly possible to be done. I received a list of vendors when I first started in this role (with American Specialty on top). I called another vendor once...poor customer service, only ok pricing, and didn't really seem to care about our small business order. This has never been the case with American Specialty...they treat every order, like it was stocking a professional arena's fans full of goodies. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

“Using Davenport Design was one of the best decisions we made when planning my daughter’s Aug. 25, 2018 wedding. From our initial meeting with Carl at a Starbucks near my daughter’s apartment, we both felt comfortable and knew he was the right florist. Meeting Scott a few months later only strengthened that first impression. Our Chicago Athletic Association Hotel venue was so beautiful it was hard to imagine it enhanced — but Davenport Design did so, making it simply magical. From the gorgeous candlelit aisle, the varied-height arrangements, to the floral doggie wreath for the bride and groom’s pup, each detail was exquisite. The head table overlooking Millennium Park was absolutely breathtaking. Not only was the cost below what I’d been warned by a wedding planner to expect for a formal, downtown-Chicago wedding, the execution was impeccable. Just an hour before the ceremony Scott adjusted the bridesmaids’s bouquets (all seven of them!) at my daughter’s request, to make them more subdued than originally planned — without question or complaint. We have received numerous compliments on the flowers since, several people saying they were the most beautiful they’d ever seen at a wedding. Besides all this, both Carl and Scott are true gentlemen, and an absolute delight to work with. I can’t recommend them strongly enough!”
