“My son has been in the Northbrook Montessori school for more than one and half years. We are so glad to see his growth and how much he enjoys the school! The teachers not only teach kids about knowledge but also help kids learn to be more independent. We would definitely recommend this place to other parents!”

“This is Not a-typical massage spa. What I mean is 228 Angel Spa is Far from ordinary & goes well beyond your initial expectations as a pleasant & relaxing surprise. Ms. Kit so very well understands the mechanics of kinesiology which was essential in massaging my neck & lower back while aiding in relaxation, loosen muscular nodes, provide pain relief and soothe an overworked body. Her touch is the anthesis of "soft", & I say, "more please." She possess' awesome bedside manners and responds with excellent professionalism and TLC! The only bad thing is it's getting harder & harder to book her since words getting around.”

“Excellent elementary school in Northbrook's district 28. Newly redone in 2015. It is a smaller school which makes for a good student/teacher ratio.”

“I At immigration, the clerk was an old man who produced a wallet from his homespun coat and showed me a photograph of my grandfather. The woman in customs asked me to declare the words of our traditional cures and charms to heal dumbness and avert the evil eye. No porters. No interpreter. No taxi. You carried your own burden and very soon your symptoms of creeping privilege disappeared. II Fog is a dreaded omen there but lightning spells universal good and parents hang swaddled infants in trees during thunderstorms. Salt is their precious mineral. And seashells are held to the ear during births and funerals. The base of all inks and pigments is seawater. Their sacred symbol is a stylized boat. The sail is an ear, the mast a sloping pen, the hull a mouth-shape, the keel an open eye. At their inauguration, public leaders must swear to uphold unwritten law and weep to atone for their presumption to hold office - and to affirm their faith that all life sprang from salt in tears which the sky-god wept after he dreamt his solitude was endless. III I came back from that frugal republic with my two arms the one length, the customs woman having insisted my allowance was myself. The old man rose and gazed into my face and said that was official recognition that I was now a dual citizen. He therefore desired me when I got home to consider myself a representative and to speak on their behalf in my own tongue. Their embassies, he said, were everywhere but operated independently and no ambassador would ever be relieved. ©2009 Seamus Heaney”

“A very special place. Our son had been struggling with dyslexia, apraxia of speech and various other conditions making it extremely difficult for him in school despite having excellent teachers and lots of support through his IEP. With essentially only 1 type of curriculum from which to learn, he struggled. The final straw was when he was 7 and I found him sitting on the couch, despondent with tears welling up in his eyes and said “I’m not smart... I’m not smart... I’m not smart...” Made the switch in 3rd grade and his confidence and joy of learning have been off the charts! Nearly all of the teaching staff have advanced degrees in special education and have many more curriculum ‘keys’ to unlock they way in which your kids learn. It’s an amazing place. If your kids have special needs, it would be worthwhile for you to explore.”

“GBN Child care is a wonderful environment for children to learn, play, and grow. The office staff is caring and works hard to accommodate everyone. The teachers are wonderful and truly care about the children. If you are in need of daycare this is a great place to check out. The staff will meet with you and set up a tour so you can see for yourself. The teacher to child ratio is very high and each child gets plenty of one on one attention. The outdoor play areas are well maintained and the indoor mini gym allows for plenty of exercise even during bad weather. Well worth a look!”

“I cannot day enough great things about Bright Horizons! Our children have been in the young preschool, preschool, and kindergarten prep classrooms, and every teacher has been fabulous. They are always changing up the activities and making learning fun. It is a great balance of playtime and academics, all in a nurturing environment. There are special activities like yoga, dance, and Spanish lessons, along with plenty of playtime inside and outdoors. Chef Dan cooks delicious and healthy food for the children daily - breakfast, lunch, snack, and there is even a snack to go in the lobby. The communication is top notch, with pictures, potty, and meal updates all sent each day through an app. At drop off and pick up, the front desk staff and teachers are always friendly and provide an update about the day. All of the families we've met are super friendly, and my kids often don't want to leave when it's time to go home. As a teacher myself, I can confidently say that my children will be more than prepared for kindergarten thanks to Bright Horizons.”

“As a Montessori teacher and school director in GA, I can tell you this is one of the very best Montessori schools in the country! The classrooms are designed to help children develop Independence, concentration, and self-discipline. The teachers and staff have an amazing amount of experience and provide a warm, nurturing environment that allows children to blossom and reach their full potential. The campus is beautifully designed, all with the best interests of the students in mind. I highly recommend this school to families in the area.”
