“THE LITTLE RED SCHOOLHOUSE Nature Center is an educational stop for all ages. A favorite of many .. houses small animals from around the wooded preserve area. My visit is always an enjoyable experience. You will view racoons, owls, fish n reptiles & other inhabitants within the schoolhouse itself along with information on the woodlands & small pond. A path around the center offers nice hiking & for those who are enthusiasts can venue around the preserve to your content. This is a serene and beautiful afternoon spent for the family or just quiet alone time. Camera buffs .. there is an abundance of images to be shared from butterflies to animals grazing. I especially love the wide variation of hawk owls outside the center.”

“Many of my relatives including my parents and great grandparents are buried at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park. I have written them several times to request plot information and they have always replied with answers plus extra information. My parents were debating between this location and another one and what made them decide to be buried here was that the staff was positive and helpful. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for being so kind and positive. I'm considering being buried here myself.”

“We came here for a school function. It was big enough that there are separate parts for people to go to. We had an almost private section of the woods. From where we drove past, there is a boat dock and plenty of green grassy area for picnics and BBQs and kids to run around to play. The lake looked perfect for a swim and water activities.”

“Starting from the Maple Lake East parking lot, this is an easy roll that is mostly downhill. This trail may be a challenging climb for younger riders but there are no significant obstacles. In the downhill direction, this is an easy trail suitable for first timers and children who are new to mountain biking.”

“Loved it here during early winter. Heated rooms, place for campfires right outside your cottage. You can buy wood from them to burn. Bring bed sheets and blankets. I highly recommend 1 or 2 lantern (battery operated) if you plan to cook outside at night.”

“Sanctuary. Not a lot to say about this place - it is a sanctuary for me and my girlfriend. We come to relax, walk, take in the quiet of nature, take in the water activity or just the respectful peace between us both. Can be physically rejuvenating or reflectively interesting, as nature always is.”
