“My favorite park and disc golf course. I used to work ten minutes from here and stopped by very frequently (like 3-5 times a week on average) to play and there was never, I mean NEVER a crowd. There are 18 holes. The first six are an extremely pleasant walk through the woods with a purpose. The middle six holes are at the end of long thin trails through tall dense weeds and occasional small ponds. The last six are very serene strolls through hills and trees. You definitely shouldn't come here you wouldn't like it.”

“A bit dusty at dry times, Summer is harder to walk due to mosquito bites and after walks in the rain have to wash our dog down to clean the white mud. Love the social interactions with other dog owners and dogs love to run between the trees, are visible at all times.”

“Such wooded beauty in the middle of a big city suburb is rare. Blackwell is perfect for a refreshing touch of nature as you leisurely drive around the lake. Or pack a picnic lunch and stay a while. Great for family gatherings, group camping or a romantic boat ride across the lake for two. Plus there's an archery range and fishing in the summer and Mount Trashmore for snow tubing in the winter. A complete delight.”

“What a great venue for experiencing historic farm life. Chickens and turkeys roaming the grounds. Real farming still being done, the earth is gritty so leave the dress shoes at home. Farmhouse is preserved more like a museum bit they do have bits to engage the kids as well. Staff dedicated and ready to share their deep knowledge of the farm and historic way of life.”
