“Excellent pre-school and daycare! I especially like the teaching style which encourages kids to have fun while learning. Both my kids (1 and 4) enjoy going to school and I visibly see them learning things and applying it on a daily basis. They also take great care of the little ones. My only feedback: I think they can have a way to cater to each kid’s individual level of learning, more challenge for kids in areas where grasp quicker and more support in areas where they maybe lagging. If a child has the potential to go beyond standard curriculum, then the school should create a program to nurture that and challenge the child further.”

“Love this school! Never leaving! My child has been there for 2 years now and we couldn't be happier. They have a huge outdoor nature area with a playground, sledding hills, garden, nature path, compost area... the list goes on. On top of that the staff could not be more patient and loving of all of the children. Annie, the head of the school, is at parent drop off most days and is one of the most wonderful human beings on the planet. Honestly you cannot go wrong by sending your child to school here.”

“I have four children who love attending Timothy Christian. The teachers are excellent and really care about their students - they are gentle, loving and they put pride in their work. My kids love their classmates as they are kind and there isn't the drama I hear about that takes place in other schools (no bullying!). Timothy Christian has invested over $28M in their 22 acre campus over the last 8 years. The school is in excellent shape physically and financially (even has a several million dollar endowment!). As a TC parent, I love the boutique school atmosphere which enables students to participate in several different sports and club activities, which I feel will make them very well rounded individuals. The education my children are getting is excellent and test scores back it up. Finally, my children are learning a Christian Worldview and being taught how to be a servant leader. For all these reasons and more, I highly recommend Timothy Christian.”

Although I am not from an "affluent" family by any means (a child of a hard-working lower-middle-class immigrant family, actually), I still found this school and its staff to be very accomodating and supportive. The teachers and faculty are true professionals, committed to and passionate about their jobs. I really felt that as long as I put in the prescribed amount of time and effort, I would succeed - and I did. It is one of the best schools in the state, and this could be felt through the heightened expectations of their students. And while this school could definitely get much better (such as by decreasing their excessive funding of the athletic program and diverting some of that funding to further improve academics), it's already much better than average. I'm proud to be a Red Devil.”

“I have had the privilege of knowing the director of Tender Loving Care Montessori, Mona Johnson as a friend and colleague for over 35 years. She is a true professional. During that time, she was the lead social worker at Proviso West High School. She was responsible for a huge caseload of high school students. She was always a positive source of information in working with the teachers, staff, and administrators. Her skills and guidance helped parents and faculty through many stressful and critical times in our district. Mona has administrative skills that are necessary to own & operate a child care facility. She truly cares for the children enrolled there along with there parents. I am in awe of her ability to handle the day to day operations of her program. She is a dedicated parent herself which gives her the empathy to work with the families in her day care center. Any parent would be lucky to have their children enrolled in the Tender Loving Care Montessori center.”

“There are several things that I love about Kiddie Academy of Carmel Westfield. First and foremost, my daughter is always so happy there. The teachers and directors always make her smile and she seems to have a great time playing in her classroom. Additionally, the directors and teachers are all so nice and caring. The center feels safe and secure and this helps put my anxious mom brain at ease. I absolutely love that there is a live-stream camera at the center. Not having video access has now become a deal breaker for me in regards to child care! It is so wonderful to be able to log in at any time to watch my daughter play and to see how the staff interact with her. I've caught some wonderfully sweet moments between my daughter and her classmates and my daughter and her teachers when watching the live stream which just makes me feel so good as a parent who needs child care each weekday while I work.”

“I like the sanctuary service, which they actually hold at the Hollywood Blvd movie theater, because its like a combo bible study class and service combined. However we found that the 10am family service is great for us because its very family friendly, with realistic noise levels when you have little kids, a children's sermon, and lots of music you would hear on K-love that my kids like to dance along with. Highly recommend.”

“I have been taking my almost-3 year old son and nine month old son to Montessori of Woodridge since they were each 12 weeks old. I could not imagine sending them anywhere else. When I toured Montessori of Woodridge, I was met by an exuberant, welcoming woman. When we entered the toddler room, one of the teachers was laying down on the mat with a child, singing and rocking him to sleep. When we toured other schools in the area, we could not imagine leaving our children there. One of the schools had a crowded baby room with two women sitting on the floor staring off into space, while the babies sat on the floor, surrounded by disorganized piles of toys. Another school had a mean-faced, frazzled woman who snapped angrily at a toddler. And two other schools had student teachers in their late teens or early twenties alone in the classrooms with the children. The Montessori of Woodridge daycare director is a wonderful woman who has been a Montessori teacher for most of her life. She has hired mature teachers, almost all parents (and grandparents), who are kind, loving women. I am confident that my children are safe and loved when they are there, and I never worry about their well being when I am at work. When I enter the school, I feel welcomed, and know that the teachers are happy to see my babies. I attended Montessori preschool, and am sure that has contributed to my success as a student, a professional, and a mother. I am thrilled to share that connection with my sons, and know that they will be better people for attending this school. As an added bonus, if you are thinking of sending your child here, it's cheaper than any of the other schools we toured!”

“My toddler loves attending this KinderCare in Lisle on College Road. My husband and I could not be more happier. Ms. Ellie, Miss Amanda, and all of the teachers are very friendly, approachable and very professional. My daughter is just under 2 years-old and she is excelling in her speech, gross-motor skills and fine-motor skills. The teachers take pride in what they are teaching my daughter and other children, and they are very attentive to all children. I put my trust in all of the teachers and staff to care for my daughter and as well as in her edcuation. It is also a safe environment for my daughter to grow up in. The teachers and the center directors do a great job communicating with me and my husband on their conerns and support for my daughter. The center is clean and very inviting. I recommend this center at this location to any parents that are seeking a great childcare/early education for their child/children.”
