“This is a place where it is so calm and peaceful, night time is much more peaceful because you get to hear owls, animals singing til they fall asleep. But one thing I encountered was this: I was walking on the main trail, going back and forth. I stopped under a tree and suddenly an animal was above me, waiting to attack me by jumping down on me. Well, that little guy ran away when I pulled my flashlight. ???? Too funny... Just too funny. I go the woods A LOT. But I do have one complain, I want to tell them to please fix the sign that tells you the names of the trails and how it is.”

“A great playground! I really loved seeing playground equipment like the stuff I played on as a kid. They have the colorful spinning thing, and the little ponies that go in a circle and even the yellow plastic playground that I remember from my childhood even though I've never been to Morris before. Great nostalgia visit and it was so much fun to set my kid playing on the same style of equipment that I used to play on.”

“I really like the ease of primitive camping at this site...only downside during labor day weekend were the bugs- lots of spiders chiggers, mosquitoes and flies????- but that's the Illinois river in the summer for you. To avoid bugs, come spring or fall. Kayaking was awesome- my boys loved it ????????????”
