“We recently purchased a face cord of birch from a firewood business in Geneva and were so unhappy. The wood was wet and we were severely shorted. So we tried Mulch/Firewood Inc! Mike wanted to take the day off seeing as it’s a few days before Christmas. I don’t blame him. But I didn’t realize so I called to see if they were open. He called me back and said they were off, but he offered to deliver a face cord anyway! We purchased hickory which is currently burning away in our fireplace, nice and dry and fragrant. Can’t wait to try some Cherry next time!”

“I've been a customer for the past 15-20 years. They've serviced lawn mowers, snow blowers and even a leaf blower. Straight forward and honest. Once (about ten years ago) they did a repair on a older mower that was really on it's last leg. They took a shot at it - and it didn't work. Jerry said he wanted to try one other thing on it. After he worked on it the mower lasted another five years. Sometimes you only find out how good a shop is when you get a chance to see how they deal with a problem. I'll never go anywhere else”

“Can't say enough good things about Advanced Windows and Siding. John and his staff were great to work with. We had a sliding door replaced as well a new door added from the garage to the side of the house. From the exploratory stage, to purchase, to installation, John and his crew were perfect. John listened to what I was looking for and tailored a quote specific to my needs. It is very hard to buy anything these days. You make many calls to companies, wanting to spend money with them, and they rarely call you back. If they do call you back, they feel rushed and put out. “Our whole family highly recommends Montessori Academy. Even when we could have switched to public school this year, we decided to stay so that our son could complete his "primary" experience (3-6 year olds). We are strong advocates of the Montessori philosophy and practice. Focusing on the whole child, promoting life long learning, learning through doing, developing confidence and independence, building community, and a student-centered approach are just a few reasons we love Montessori. Last year was our first year at MA, but not our first Montessori experience. While we liked the other school, we were drawn to this one because of the teachers and staff (they are exceptional), the schools' commitment to promoting ecological awareness and sustainability, and the many ways they provide children with experiences with the natural world (chickens and gardens on campus, hikes and explorations along the fox river hiking trail, outdoor activities in their very large natural setting behind the school, off campus field trips). Another highlight is all the creative and fun activities the teachers and staff share with the kids. I love that their aftercare teacher is also an art teacher and brings unique and original art projects that our son just loves. His teacher also offers yoga as an optional extracurricular activity during aftercare. How awesome is it that my son already understands he can create his own experience of peace! There is a nice sense of community at the school which is lovely for our whole family. Lots of fun whole family events throughout the year. Our son loves his school, loves to learn, and is thriving. I couldn't ask any more from a school.”
