“vey nice dog park in back. All fenced in with half an open field, the other half is wooded. there is also a section with a few obstacles for your dog to play, nothing fancy though. There is also a pond for your dog to swim in although its not part of the fenced in area. Will definitely be going back.”

West Main Community And Bark Park

Address: 40W101 Main St, Batavia, IL 60510, USA

Park

“I drove about 45 minutes to visit, as it's one of the few good parks for letting the dogs swim off leash. At the parking lot, follow the paved trail south along the ball fields to reach the swimming area. The lake area is not fenced in, so dogs that like to explore or run to greet others will be able to do so (whether you like that or not). The dog park entrance is just to the west of the swimming area (use Google maps to view the area). There is a nice grove of trees for shade, and a separate area with some basic agility equipment. The other owners and dogs that were there were friendly and well behaved. Tip: If you get anxious, your dog will get anxious. Just relax and let the dogs socialize. Likes: No charge, great swimming, shade for owners and dogs, well maintained. Dislikes: No signs that indicate where to go from the parking lot. Parking lot is half gravel, which with a wet dog can get messy (park on the paved section or let your dog dry off first).”
