A while back I thought I smelled gas in the house. I called the nonemergency number and they sent a truck out immediately. The firemen checked every room and assured me that all was in order. In hindsight I realized that a meal I cooked the night before which contained a lot of cumin was responsible for the smell which oddly resembled gas. I apologized for the call but the firemen assured me that it was important to call whenever in doubt.
