Beautiful park in a great town! Grayslake is awesome and very home town feeling.
This place is awesome especially if you play pokemon Go their are many stops in game and at the place it self there is lots to do great to bring you family
Great little park. Has green space and the splash pad right next to it is perfect size for kids. You turn it on by tapping the top single yellow post nearest the park on the inside of the fensed area, which is great if you have a kid who is a runner. The bathrooms are small but smell awesome, I think the combination of cedar wood and the airfresheners they use make it smell like sandalwood or something, a pleasant surprise. It is a park with football field, ball field, and even a two mile walking path loop. Something for everyone.
Stunningly Beautiful with features for the whole family: walking paths, reflection pond, trees and flowers that can make you feel alive. Some trees were planted to honor loved ones that have passed. Sometimes local high school and middle school students play soccer, baseball, and other sports in the large, open grassy areas. Dog and kid friendly.
Great place to take the kids. Or even just walk/ride a bike without the kids. The playground is wonderful. It is more updated then I expected it to be; it just isn't great for smaller kids unless they are really fearless. The playground is also under a nice amount shade in the later afternoon and there is a decent amount in the early afternoon. There are a decent amount of picnic benches around so you can bring lunch/dinner/snack. The only thing that is slightly wonky is parking. If coming from the main road, there is a parking lot off to the side of the highschool. You need to cross the road and train tracks so make sure you keep a look out for them.
