“Top quality training, great learning environment. My son and I started learning judo four months ago and I am very happy to have joined here. Before joining, I was in poor health after major surgery and since then, my fitness levels have increased greatly. Judo is like physical chess. It is important to consider the learning environment of a martial arts club. Barrington Judo Club's coaches are in their fifties and there are 6 or 7 black belts. Some of them have competed at the National levels in their countries (France, Mexico...). They are mature and have a fatherly attitude towards the students. Other martial arts clubs that have just one teacher can become abusive as he is all powerful. Some MMA/BJJ clubs have a tough guy attitude and the instructor injures his pupils to show his displeasure. I am glad Barrington Judo Club is not like those clubs. There are thankfully no contracts. Many other clubs require an annual contract. My son and I highly recommend this club for you to learn judo.”

“The paths are well maintained. There are nice shaded spots and others in the sun. There is a mix of grass and dirt paths. The longest loop is about 2 miles, but it's nice how the paths connect to Hickory Nut across the street for more mileage. The only downside is that it's buggier than most forest preserves in the area. ”

“Dr. Park is kind, soft-spoken, and caring which is exactly what a patient needs when going through radiation treatments. Moreover, her staff is warm, and extremely easy to talk to. There is a sign in Dr. Park's office which reads "if you have waited more than 10 minutes for your appointment, please tell the receptionist". That alone indicates their compassion for their patients.”

“Was looking for a good painter with experience under his belt, went to Archie for my fender and bumper to be painted and the man blew my expectations out of the sky. His work is top notch. Before I went to him I went to Maaco and I’ll tell you right now, stay away from those crooks. They hire painters with Kindergarten level in AutoBody. Archie fixed their mistake and made my car look whole again. I definitely recommend this guy to anyone. His work speaks for itself, he’s quick and efficient.
