“Great spot to park if your going on the river. The parking lot is not too far from the river either. You won't have to haul your gear far.”

“Recently renovated parking lot. Horses are welcome from here down to Wadsworth rd. Beautiful path with lakes and prairie. A must for equestrians that like to bring their horses to new areas. Dry safe area with regular patrols by park police.”

“Very nice 2 mile gravel trail. 1 loop. Gently rolling hills with nice views. About 10% is shaded. Several benches and other places to sit and enjoy the view. Not a huge parking lot. 1 unisex bathroom (outhouse style) by the parking lot. If necessary, about half way through is a spur that will take you to the truck stops at the tollway & Russell Road.”

“A regular place for me on fishing and kayaking. Nice clear water, but in my experience the fishing is sub par. Example, I've never seen schools of fish in this lake, just a few here and a few there. Still a beautiful lake and fun to be on. I'm glad this is available so close to home.”

“Love the lake its so beautiful even though its rather small. A coyote ran across the road wich is pretty cool to me. And i got a cool video of a bever by his dam from the walking path. Very fun, laid back, low key place.”

“Beautiful and peaceful. The small loop goes around a nice wetland. The main path connects with the Des Plaines River Trail. Gravel path. Flat. Once you get to the DPRT is is forested with shadows. Plenty of parking. Horses allowed (with permit). 1 unisex washroom by the parking lot.”

“The food at Bob Chin's is generally very good. The fish is fresh and well prepared. Not the cheapest restaurant, but you get what you pay for. Not a place to go for a lot of atmosphere. It's a big place and a bit like eating in a warehouse. The people who seat you use radios. Service is good, and the staff know the menu. Salad bar is good, but extra. Can be very crowded on weekends, but during the week is better.”
