“Beautiful and peaceful. The small loop goes around a nice wetland. The main path connects with the Des Plaines River Trail. Gravel path. Flat. Once you get to the DPRT is is forested with shadows. Plenty of parking. Horses allowed (with permit). 1 unisex washroom by the parking lot.”

“I'll give this place five stars because apparently they care about their customers and that's everything! I ordered one type of rib but for me it just had way too much fat on it so I couldn't really enjoy it, I told the cashier about the experience and she had one of the butcher's to match my ribs in the other Style. Of course I was so full I couldn't finish all of them ,(since I had a combo dinner of ribs and I believe chicken) but great flavor on this food great friendly staff, I love The Rustic seating Style. The food was great, even my extra ribs were great later on in the day. Just a good all-around experience. They care that you are satisfied. 100% recommend”

“I must laud the ladies with whom I spoke over the phone. They were courteous, helpful and more than understanding. Rarely, do I receive call backs in a timely manner when I leave my phone number. That is not the case with the communication I had with all the attending staff at The Tempel Lipizzan Facility in Old Mill Creek , IL. They called me back in a timely manner and helped me resolve an issue I had. Further ,they graciously honored a request I had to accommodate an 85 year old senior citizen . They have my sincere gratitude.”

“Out of all the gas stations I’ve stopped at, this is my favorite. I’ve never had problems waiting for a pump. There’s plenty of parking if you’re wanting to go inside and get something. They keep the store clean inside. They keep the restrooms clean as well. The employees are always in a happy mood, which is really nice. The nice thing is there’s also a McDonald’s attached to it.”

“These are the BEST people you can find! We got locked out of our car (with it running) while walking our dog. They gave us a spot, let Maggie in, fed us (and Miss Mags) AND gave us a phone to use to find help! Several calls and about an hour or so later, help arrived!! Such good people???? Oh! And the food was pretty darn awesome too ????”

“One of our favorite places. Always great service and great food. Recently expanded with a new huge bar area that changes the feel of the establishment, but, only in that section of the restaurant... The older area in front still has that same "Shanty" look and feel that earned it a spot on the "Dive Worth A Drive" list. Highly recommend.”
