“Thom Kapheim is an uncommonly gifted artist. His studio is a comfortable gallery in which one can view and acquire a wide variety of Thom’s original works in varied media. He often has printed works and collections of printed works available as well. I recommend calling ahead in order to determine that the studio/gallery will be open when you arrive. A visit will NOT disappoint you. Thom’s artwork is quite extraordinary.”

“Fantastic walk thru time! Really helpful staff to guide you. Check out the cool garage with the antique vehicles!”

“This place is really cool. The staff is really nice and willing to share knowledge about their museum and the city. There are 2 levels on the main level and they also have an annex. In the main building they have all sorts of artifacts from almost the beginning of the city. Really worth the time to come here. In the annex they have an original fire truck from the 50s that still works and they use it in the parades, also few other vehicles and machinery. The best part it is free to come here, but I would leave a donation though”

“A nice little trail in Antioch that is popular with the locals for short strolls and walking their dogs. Take the path through Osmond Park along the south side of Sequoit Creek, which then brings users to Antioch's Downtown Core at Hillside Avenue.”

“Pretty cool place. Unless you are in the military you don't see these types of things in a normal day. Loved all the old memorabilia & vehicles inside. And loved walking through the outside and seeing all the different vehicles and aircraft. Some are huge! They also offer a tank ride on a smaller tank. Worth stopping by for a few hours if this type of stuff interests you.”

“This place was great, what a treasure. Went there as something to do not knowing really anything about the place, and now can't wait to visit again. They have old cars, motorcycles, famous vehicles from TV and movies. Old time pinball machines and such you can play. Old planes, old jukeboxes, and so much more. Basically something for everyone. They have a tram tour that is worth taking. You get the story about the place plus the layout of the place. Plan a few hours if you want to see everything. You can also buy many of the vehicles if that's what you're into. They also have about three buildings of antique booths to shop at. The antique buildings are free to visit but there is a small fee to get into the museum part.”

“I must laud the ladies with whom I spoke over the phone. They were courteous, helpful and more than understanding. Rarely, do I receive call backs in a timely manner when I leave my phone number. That is not the case with the communication I had with all the attending staff at The Tempel Lipizzan Facility in Old Mill Creek , IL. They called me back in a timely manner and helped me resolve an issue I had. Further ,they graciously honored a request I had to accommodate an 85 year old senior citizen . They have my sincere gratitude.”

“So fun. I wasn't able to go into the actual pyramid because of the recent fire but the rest of the property is a blast to see and experience. There's a reason this is a local landmark. I hope for a speedy repair of the pyramid itself because this is a sight to see.”

My tattoos are in the healing process right now so they are peeling. I am in love with my tattoos I want more now. I recommend this place to everyone who searches up this parlor and is interested about getting tattoos here. Thank you guys for the patience and the hard work!”

“Now in its new, unassuming location in a concrete and asphalt business park (instead of it's original, nice surroundings in a real, green park), the staff has nevertheless created a modern, thoroughly impressive museum showcasing a fair amount of the history of Lake County and its peoples, both native and immigrant. The museum is now much larger than before, with a mix of information making it suitable for all levels including children and those who wish to delve into more detail. Definitely worth a visit, and I hope Lake County eventually creates an annual museum pass. One comment about time: those who are quick surface browsers may spend 60-90 minutes, but those who wish to read and discuss all of the exhibit material may wish to do so over a2-3 hour period of time.”
