(February 1, 2022, 4:04 pm)After living in Hamel for years, circumstances in 2013 dictated a temporary move to Edwardsville. I have since moved back to Hamel, but even during my exile to E’ville, sometimes I’d drive the extra 10 miles to use the Hamel Post Office. This is nothing against the fine folks at the Edwardsville branch, but like so many things in my adopted home town, the staff at the Hamel Post Office embodies the very best of small town America: personal, personable, & professional. In short, you just couldn’t ask for better service or nicer people.

(November 18, 2016, 4:33 pm)I love this post office. Deanna is always smiling and very helpful. Small hometown service. It's the only post office that I have been in where the people smile. I will go out of my way to go here.
