The Cabins and Cottages at Shale Lake

This is a wonderful find about an hour from home. We rented one cabin, son and his wife another cabin, daughter and husband another cabin. It was perfect! Cabins are clean, fishing is good, and owners are great! We also got excellent food from the winery. We will return when we can get cabins!

Stayed in Bungalow 14 for 4 days.
Perfect private get away. Lots to do in the area if your an antique/treasure (junk) hunter.
Had a couple hiccups, but owners took care of it all and made us feel welcome. The views are awesome and the area is very peaceful. Only got 1 night in the hot tub because the weather was not cooperating. But over all a great stay. We will definitely be coming back.
Oh and go to the Winery. Good eats and people!!

I'm very picky - not a "cabin" or camping girl, so everything has to be very CLEAN, and our cabin was just that! Very cute as well, and we had a great time. The winery right there is a plus! Chatted with the nice owner while there, had a wonderful dinner and great wine - had to buy an extra bottle to take home. I recommend staying here - very relaxing and reasonable rates - we will definitely be going back.

We've been here several times and always look forward to our stay. Always have a very peaceful relaxing time here staying in the cottages. The owners are also repsonsive and very nice! :)

We needed a place that could handle a small group for a funeral in a town nearby. Our group had cabins 1, 2 & 3 (we stayed in #1). We had space to gather and the adjacent Winery was a good place to share drinks and memories.
