“Well, took a chance as I was headed home up Route 4 and tried this place out as they offered Lemon Chicken. Now I had to had lemon chicken since I left San Antonio in 1975 - there was a fast food place that was their specialty and it was really good! However, as I am now diabetic, I decided on the shrimp with lobster sauce and tried the beef in oyster sauce , both in pints. Now my intent was to sample both but... .. I ate it all and it was good for a little town like New Baden! I am glad I went out of my way to do so. Now if this cop across the road would quit watching...”

“The real reason I come here is for Ski slushies. It's not easy to find a Ski slushy. And, I come here because the Casey's down the street charges much more for a slushy, and they only have plastic cups, making the slushy melt faster. Otherwise, it's a decent gas station. The restroom has almost always been clean. And the clerks always seem nice. And the Ski slushies keep bringing me back here.”
