The cleanliness of the sitting area made it inviting and the ability to feel at ease albeit there for a medical need. Further upon being treated by the medical staff, I felt a real sense of care and concerns as a patient which is paramount to anyone needing medical attention. “Our trip started off a little rough at the holiday Inn. We were on a late night flight and called ahead to let them know we'd be checking in late, after midnight. We we're told no problem, we even check in online, but when we got to the hotel they told us we were marked as "no show". After a little back and forth we were able to get a room on the second floor. The room had a lingering odor of smoke which we told the staff the next day. They did offer for us to change to an available room, but I just wanted them to know so I didn't get billed. Other than that the room was decent enough for us and the kids. The TV had cartoon network and nickelodeon which was nice. Breakfast in the morning was fine, biscuits and gravy, bacon, make your own pancakes, and of course fruit and cereal. Good enough to get the family to start the day. The only other concern I had was the open parking lot that was surrounded by tall grass and man-made trails. It didn't even occur to me until one morning we came out to a couple of shady characters hanging out by our rental van. We were parked at the edge of the lot and there were no other cars around. Being a former resident of NPR, I was immediately reminded of the type of folks that could be using these trails. If you stay here I would recommend getting a spot closer to the building. Overall the room was decent for the area.”
